How to prepare for part 2 exam

Freshen your knowledge by reading a short text book like ‘Churchill pocket book of clinical dentistry’

Read PAST TEST BOOKS - OSCEs by Kathleen Fan - this is a must do for the exam

Read all guidelines related to safeguarding, cross infection control, law and ethics, record keeping, oral cancer awareness and oral hygiene instructions - our library session is updated with valuable resources

If this is your first sitting, it’s highly recommended that you attend ‘Intro to part 2’ course where the structure of the exam will be explained in details as well the resources to focus on

The exam structure and marking follow 4 domains - communication being one of them and a major one then it’s recommended you attend a communications course

Another useful subject is ‘pain’ as it covers the majority of complaints. This is a topic that must be prepared properly

Medical emergencies is a very important component of OSCEs please study the updated resource from Resus Guidelines

Attend our multiple OSCE training sessions and unseen cases to have a practical understanding of how the exam runs

Attend a mock OSCE circuit

Attend a mock UNSEEN case exam
